TM Health & Safety, looking after all your Health & Safety needs. We are a customer services driven company and our primary objective is to ensure that your experience with us is a positive one. TM Health & Safety take a pro-active approach to health and safety in the workplace and offer businesses an effective, practical, and professional service at affordable prices.

Why do you need a Safety Statement?
Safety Statements have been required by law of all companies since the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 1989 and more recently the new Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005. The safety statement is effectively a company’s documented Health & Safety Management programme for ensuring the safety, health and welfare of all its employees whilst at work. The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) enforces these regulations, and has recently penalised and fined hundreds of companies throughout Ireland for not being health and safety compliant.

Why is Health & Safety Important to the Small Businesses or organisation?

Your employees/workers/volunteers have a legal right to work in safe conditions, especially with regard to personal health; it is therefore important that you offer them this sort of working environment. Failure to do so can result in personal injury, disease or general poor health.

Our aim is to ensure your present and future compliance with all Health and Safety Legislation.  This will ensure you, your staff and the public who come in contact with your business, remain safe.It also allows you to monitor and control an effective system of work that will reduce the possibility of serious accidents happening within your workplace. Plus ensure that a better more effective Health and Safety system is in place thus saving you thousands of euro in possible payouts.

 “Safety is no accident”

TM Health & Safety  - Ted Mellamphy

I have delivered Health and Safety courses to organisations and sporting and business groups all over Ireland.

I worked in The Irish Examiner for 26 years, and for 10 years was the Safety Rep for my own section, hence my interest and passion for Health & Safety. I took early retirement in 2006 but went back to UCC in 2005 to do a diploma course in H & S. I graduated in 2007 and set up my own Health and Safety Training Company in October of that year, I now run TM Health and Safety.

I am a graduate member of IOSH (international organisation for safety and health).

I am a member of Blarney Toastmasters and this coming season I am taking on the role of E. V. P. (educational vice president) and I am also involved in The Waterloo Renewal Group, where we work to enhance our local area. Renovation and restoration of our church bell tower and bell was a project. Flower planting, litter picking and general cleanup are part of what we do. We have just completed the building of a waterfall and planting of the surrounding area with heathers, shrubs, flowers, grasses and wild flowers.

You don’t have to be wealthy to give back. You can give back by getting involved and giving your time and talents. You just have to be committed to opening doors for others.
